About

Before meeting my husband, Ken and opening a restaurant I was working as a custodian at my church. For many years I had worked in the field of metal health and after burning out I took a sabbatical. I didn't work anywhere for 11 months! Durning that time I drew on my faith to carry me through some strange times. I met Ken while working at the church. I actually became his first employee back when we just owned a food truck. After a few twists and turns we ended up married with a food truck and restaurant.


I love to write and share my experiences. We have had many trials adventures and high points along our journey.

I am 12 years sober as of writing this. We now own a bar and larger restaurant than we started with. We went from just the 2 of us and a rotating 3rd person to staff of 20-25 depending on the season. I have learned so much on he journey and have become more confident in who I am and what we do. My posts will share some of those things.
